FAQS

What types of wax do you use in your candles?

At Matte Collective we use 100% natural soy wax, it has a smooth, creamy finish and contains no palm or paraffin products. It is also biodegradable and vegan friendly and has been dermatologically tested so it is safe for use on skin.

Absolutely, we can offer gift wrapping or special packaging if requested before your order is placed. Please email mattecollective24@gmail.com before placing your order so this can be arranged.

Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?

Unfortunately once your order is placed we can not cancel, if you were needing to change an order we can try our best to accommodate this if you get in contact within 24 hours of placing order, anything after this we can not change as they will already be processed.

Why is my candle sweating?

Because we use 100% soy wax and it is all natural it is sensitive to extreme changes in temperature, which can leave pools of oil that you may see on top of your candle. This is caused by the natural oils separating from the wax.

Whilst this may not look the best it does not affect your candle in any way. The best way to fix this is grab a tissue or paper towel and dab the top of your candle to soak it up.

With warmer weather now here on the Sunshine Coast, Always store your candle in a cool place and out of direct sunlight.
